The camel drivers
These “ships of the desert” are still ridden in Jordan, with this image taken at the fabulous UNESCO World Heritage site of Petra. This earlier post shows some of the traditional cave homes of the Bedouin at Petra.

I find this really moving, Alicia. How beautiful. All that history!
Thanks so much Karen!

Stunning image! The Middle East is so rich in history and culture, one of my favourite areas of the world and spectacular for photography.
Thanks so much Mark, and congratulations on your interview in Inspired Eye! Are you a descendant/relative of André Kertész? Such an inspiration – I had the opportunity to see a great retrospective of his work when I passed through Budapest a few years ago.
Sadly I am not but he is a huge inspiration! It was very exciting to be part of Inspired Eye, it’s truly a unique photography magazine that really has a special appeal for the street photographer such as myself. Btw, love your images, very diverse, unique and from the heart – you’ve got lots of soul 🙂 Cheers
Excellent! The sepia works really great with the subject 🙂
